There is an Ellen Coote on the 1939 register in saffron Walden born 1868.

The grocer should be Mary Ann Hales not Halls.

Found Ellen 1868 with parents Charles 30 and Mary Ann 24 Ellen 3 and Lizzie in 1871 census under Coole not Coote.

Family are showing in Hempstead in 1881 minus Ellen who is probably the one at the grocery shop.

Next door are Charles parents Jacob and Ann.

This is interesting in that Ellens son was born in 1892. In 1891 she was residing in Bishops Stortford.
