Thanks to all, I am now aware that Magdalena/Madeleine was born in Westende, Belgium 1905. At sometime she married Louis Van Bellingen and they were living in Westenede.
Some photographs (perhaps taken in the 1950's) have been discovered as recently as February 2017 that suggest Madeleine and the recipient of her 1918 post card and letter were in correspondence for many years.
I now need to discover the dates when Madeleine and Louis married and when they died.
The Van Bellingen's may have had two sons.
Any information or advice would be appreciated.

Does anyone recognise this house?
May be in Westende but definitely in West Flanders.
