John Walker/Sarah Orinshaw of Wellington?
« on: Tuesday 09 February 16 17:59 GMT (UK) »
John and Sarah married in1775 in Shrewsbury. Their children were all born in Wellington. I have full details of their daughter, Sophia and her descendants but there are too many John Walkers and no record of a Sarah Orinshaw AT ALL, ANYWHERE!

Someone else's family tree (that I have since lost) has them dying in Fermanagh. I live in Fermanagh and there is no trace of them. HELP!

One family tree has Sarah dying 1 Aug 1805 Salford Lancs "of fever"

There is no death shown for John but the fever bit must have come from somewhere.

As to the lack of records for Sarah I wonder if the name Orinshaw has been miswritten  :-\

Thanks for replying. I have a death for a John Walker in Shropshire that might fit. But there were about half a dozen JW's born around the time he was. As for the name 'Orinshaw' it only appears once - on their marriage records.

Wish I could remember the Fermanagh reference. If he had been a potter I could understand it. But I think he was a miner (well others in the family were). There are no mines in Fermanagh, just cows, a Pottery and a lot of water!
