Bridget Dunning, baptised circa 1831
« on: Thursday 11 February 16 03:15 GMT (UK) »
Hello!

I'm trying to track down a baptismal record for my gggrandmother, Bridget Dunning, who I believe was born in Dundalk around 1831 (she married my gggrandfather, Joseph Powell, in 1852 in St. Peter's RC church, Liverpool). I've scrolled through the parish records for Dundalk to no avail so am hoping that someone might be able to help me with my search...

Thanking you in advance for any help,

Regards,
Mario

The Tithe Applotment books have an Andrew Dunning in Mount Hamilton in 1833, that would be in the Dundalk RC parish.
He is the only Dunning showing up in Louth but of course you had to have enough land to pay the Tithe to be listed, no way of knowing if he was RC or not but at least it shows there was Dunnings in the area.

Not Bridget Dunning but Bridget Durnin, baptised circa 1831

Hello everyone!

Well with a bit more information under my belt I'm now looking for a Bridget Durnin rather than Dunning. The information I have also has her father as Hugh and mother as Mary.

If anyone can help find a baptism around 1832-1833 for Bridget in or around Dundalk I'd be very grateful...

Cheers,
Mario
