Daniel Evans + Humphrey Evans ( c 1790 , Llandanwg area)
« on: Saturday 13 February 16 08:46 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anyone could find any information on the births of the above gentlemen, please ?
Humphrey Evans was born circa 1790, and gives his birthplace as Llandanwg. He married a lady called Mary (?).
I am not sure when and where Daniel Evans was born or died. He married a Margaret Owens on 09/08/1821 in Llandanwg.
I would like to know whether both were related.

On the 1861 census for Llanfihangel y Traethau, there is a Rev Daniel Evans, b Llangower in 1789, with wife, Margaret, b 1791 in Llandanwg.

Two Margaret Owens were baptised in Llandanwg in 1791.

The marriage bond is available at the National library which states that he is a schoolmaster of Llanenddwyn.

In 1851, Daniel is a visitor in LLanbedr.

There are Calvanistic baptisms on Familysearch for Daniel Evans and Margaret Owen in Llandanwg.

Thank you. It looks that there's not likely to be a connection, then.
