Looking for a mariage

Hoping you can help.  George Alway born 1845 Alveston Gloucestershire UK, sometime between 1870 and 1880 he married Tracey.  Cannot find a marriage, but on the 1881 English census his first son James born 1875 in the USA. 

Did they marry in the USA?

Any help would be appreciated

According to the census Tracey was born  Gloucestershire. According to later census James Alway(s) was born Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1875. I found George in the passenger lists :

Geo Alway 26 labourer Liverpool > New York on City of London arr 29 Apr 1872

You need to know where George lived, I believe Pennsylvania marriages would be recorded at County level for that time frame. The 1901 UK Census gives North America or Canada  1911 Scranton PA

No sign of a marriage that I can see. It looks like James Alway was baptised in England after their return :

James Alway 8 Sep 1878 Alveston, St Helen , Gloucestershire ; parents George Alway and Tracey
