Please remember that nearly 70% of the WW1 Service Records were destroyed in a WW2 bombing raid! :( ::)

Hi Cathy That's great I have spent ages looking through WW1 sites for any details on William Winder and found nothing, but that is the home address, do you have a regimental Number?
Many thanks

Can see only 1 MIC for a William Winder RIF. 2nd. Batt. but he was KIA in 1916.
It looks like your man didn't go overseas.

Hi,
547562  Labour Corps  635th Home Service Employment Company
Joined army May 8th 1915, served Ireland and England.
Bit confused as to previous service but appears to have been transferred from the Royal Irish Rifles 20th in 1918.
