smithy/smiddy
« on: Sunday 14 February 16 11:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi All
Just browsing through kirkintilloch Archives Online Photo Library www.edlcimages.co.uk which is a great library for any one looking for pictures of towns, villages, events, housing, occupations etc.. in Dunbartonshire.
I was looking at pictures of blacksmiths and noticed that some are called smiddy's or smithy's.
Are they the same or are they different?
Regards
Rosie
