Glode or Gloade - Nova Scotia
« on: Sunday 14 February 16 17:21 GMT (UK) »
Looking for any information and/or pictures relating to the Glode family in Shubenacadie reserve, Nova Scotia.
Francis Glode married Madeline Knockwood, a son James (Jim) Glide was born. James Glode was a well known hunter/guide. He married twice. Once to Mary. They had 10 children I think. Peter Glode was their son.
Peter Glode took care of James Glode until James died - I have his death registration. Peter married Annie Maloney Toney. Peter was 46 and Annie was 23 in May 1916. They had a few children, a daughter Mary Cecilia Glode.
The Basque family apparently knew the Glodes quite well.

Welcome to RootsChat !

You may have this picture already :

I imagine you may already have quite a lot of information. It would help if you could be a bit more specific about what you hope to find so that we don't waste time looking for things you already have.

My name is Victor. In regards to info you are looking for in reference to Peter Glode, I believe I can help you. My mother's dad is Christopher Mahoney, Annie Mahoney, not Maloney, is his sister. I have quite a bit of research and references I might be able to extend to you. You might already have the same info, too. Looking to hear from you. Sincerely.

Hi Victor,

Welcome to RootsChat

Sadly the original poster did not come back to acknowledge this thread.  Poster has not been on line since February 2016 so you may get no response from them.

Hello Victor
I have a question about part of your family. I was wanting to know if you knew the Maiden name of Christopher Mahoney's mother? We have seen her listed as Paul, Noel, and Toney would like to fill her right name into our tree if you don't mind sharing anything about her would be great and thank you very much.
