Tompkins, Connew

  My Granny(1897) was Lily Doris Tompkins, her Dad was H.E.C.Tompkins (Henry (?), Ernest, Connew Tompkins, he was descended from Elizabeth Connew (siblings Charles, Percy, Emma, and Harriet).
  I have always presumed they came fom the London area but I can find no trace or mention of any of them anywhere.
  If anyone knows anything about them or their ancestors I fould be so grateful.

My Granny(1897) was Lily Doris Tompkins, her Dad was H.E.C.Tompkins (Henry (?), Ernest, Connew Tompkins, he was descended from Elizabeth Connew (siblings Charles, Percy, Emma, and Harriet).

The only Connew/Tompkins marriage was in 1870 - Jane Elizabeth Connew to John Henry Tompkins 2.4.1870 at St John of Jerusalem in Hackney.

Harry E C Tompkins married in Northamptonshire June qtr 1896 to either Elizabeth Leete or Sarah Anna Jakins

Somebody with the surname Leete has made a number of corrections to spellings on baptismal and census entries so it may be worthwhile contacting her
