Phillipson Lyon Bowes son of William Bowes and Bessie Castle, born 20 January 1907, Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire, also baptized SS 26 May 1907. Died about 2004, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Is there any better record  of the exact date/place of his death  in Newspapers or other sources in BC.

Family name originally Lyon Bowes, by Act of Parliament.
Later Bowes- Lyon

No. This Bowes family was from County Durham and quite successful but no relation to the Lyon or Bowes nobility. The  Phillipson name came from a John Phillipson who was born about the 1740/50's. There were many Phillipson Bowes in the generations after. I think that Phillipson Lyon Bowes was named that because his parents knew about the Lyon name and just fancied it for their son.

Thank you all for the links. Philipson Bowes is not on Goggle or any other site so I will investigate his death date from the sites provided. Rather a unique name.
