Thanks I just went to Tasmania Colonial Database and found further information.
Thanks for linking it up hopefully I will be able to track Joseph, Francis Egan b. 1861 parents.

Thanks I just went to Tasmania Colonial Database and found further information.

Try not to use that it has a fair bit of nonsense in it.  Pre 1900 BDMs with digitised images can be searched here https://linctas.ent.sirsidynix.net.au/client/en_AU/names/

It does however go on the fritz every Friday night until after the weekend and I have no idea why.  :(

Ok thanks for the tip! I have just found some conflicting info a obit for Joseph Francis Egan b.1860 which says he was a native of Victoria! Not Tasmanian born not sure now... ???

Obituary lists six children to Joseph Francis EGAN including Mr R T EGAN of Melbourne.

The Obituary for Mary Ellen EGAN gives him as Reg of Melbourne.

Barf would be an abbreviation for BARFOLD, I think.
It is about 40 kilometres south of Bendigo.

The couple were married in SA
