I have all evidence for George S Hallis  and his parents +siblings whereabouts before 1901

His Parents Samuel Hallis   a tailor + Mary nee Healey
stayed in Birkenhead until their deaths in early 1920's

his sisters also spent all their lives there .

George was a ship joiner aged 17 in 1891
and still a joiner of some sorts in 1901

His elder brother Edward lived in South Africa as a railway worker

I wonder if George Samuel also travelled abroad but came back to GB on retirement he wrote his  will
in 1928 from Priory st and died in Birkenhead

But where were his wife and daoughter   Mary E Hallis  + Rose A  Hallis ?

sorry Heywood
the document said charles james william junior so i assumed it was her son
he was the administrator named in 1928
£63 and 1d was left to Maud Williams on George's Death ...I dont know of any connections to the Williams family

There is a Mrs + Master Hallis(aged between 1 +12) travelling on a boat to the cape in 1908 but no details about them could be Mary with a second Child

Have you got a copy of the actual Will?

The index names the Executor (if there was Will) or the Administrator (if there wasn't) - i.e the person who has to administer the estate and distribute the assets according to the instructons within the Will.  This is not the beneficiary!    the executor is not necessarily a beneficiary of any of the Estate.
