Ann Wyatt/Whyatt b1824 Buxton
« on: Sunday 21 February 16 07:56 GMT (UK) »
I am researching my Wyatt ancestors from Derbyshire.
I have noticed that Ann Wyatt/ Whyatt bC1824 Buxton married John Hadfield 1822-1885.
He was the son of James Hadfield and Ann???
According to the 1861 Census for Glossop , the family comprises both Cooper and Hadfield children , suggesting there may have been a prior marriage to.a William Cooper who died 1852.
Presently the marriage to Jhn Hadfield escapes me.
In 1871 there are several more Hadfield children.
In 1881 the family all Hadfield are living Dinting Vale.
John Hadfield died 1885 and is buried Glossop Cemetery.

I am trying to connect to my Wyatt family of Glossop as I have confirmed Wyatt/Hadfield connections.

Can anyone please assist with the parentage of Ann Wyatt/Whyatt bC1824 Buxton?

A Maria Wyatt is living with the family in 1861.

With thanks

Hello,
When and where was the Hadfield/Wyatt marriage?

You have William Cooper's death 1852 but the Cooper children were born after that year  ???

Regards
Heywood

Added- sorry I see you have no marriage yet for the couple!

Not sure it's relevant ???
There is a marriage for an Ann Whyatt a 26 year old spinster.
marrying widower William Cooper 16 Sept 1850 at Manchester Cathedral.
There isn't a father's name listed but the witnesses were John Whyatt and Harriet Whyatt.

Thank you Roinora and Heywood.
I am a little confused.
William Cooper must have died in a mining accident 1852 ( after 1851 Census )
Child James Cooper b1857 could not have been his.Perhaps technically Hadfield but Ann married Hadfield in time for birth Asenath Hadfield in 1858.
More Hadfield children born in later years.

Are you suggesting they married 12 Apr 1857?

In 1861 the family looks to be living Glossop.

With thanks
