I do not have access to FindMyPast, but the marriage register is on www.familysearch.org you have
to sign in but it is free.

Can you take a look and compare the signatures.

FindMyPast has the marriage licence of 7 Jun 1794, details:

John GRIME of Yieldersley p. Ashbourne age 24 bachelor farmer and Elizabeth CLARK 24 spinster of Bradley. Bond by John CLARK of Bradley, servant. To be married at Ashbourne.

John GRIME made his mark and John CLARK signed. Would be interesting to compare the signatures of the John CLARKE. Wonder why John GRIME would sign the marriage register but only make his mark on the licence allegation?
