Married Tullyallen Presbyterian Church,  George Armstrong, Drumharrif, Elizabeth Robb, Drumharrif. Witness 1 James Armstrong, Witness 2 Margaret Robb.
George's father Alexander, Elizabeth's father Alexander.
My interest is in the daughter, Martha born 4 Dec 1877, Merryston, Coatbridge whom I think was estranged from the family as she was to have an illegitimate child James, born in Glasgow city poorhouse, 23 Sept 1903. He was killed during world war 2 and is my grandfather.
I can vaguely remember being taken to Ireland in the early 50's

This might be James and George Armstrong in Drumgane, Loughgilly
http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/armagh/loughgilly.php

There are also Robbs in the same Parish.
By coincidence, James Armstrong was my husbands g. grandfather.

Tullyallan is in Loughgilly Parish.

Thank you for the response, I have a copy of the wedding certificate and it says they are from Drumharrif as mentioned previous, and I notice there are a few surnames on the valuation list for Drumharrif, then why not them? I have no idea of the geography in Tullyallen but tried searching for it on Google without success. George would be my G Grandfather.

Have a look at this website to get a picture of the area. http://www.bygonesandbyways.com/mainmenu.htm
Tullyallan is about a mile from Drumgane (and the bride would normally be married in her home church). Drumharrif, which is not on the map is  about 3 miles South East of Tullyallan. The couple could have been working for other farmers and not necessarily renting land and their fathers, both Alexander could be deceased.  Only those who leased land or property are listed in Griffiths Valuation.  For instance, if a son worked on the land for his father, his name would not appear in Griffiths.  I will have a further look for you.

Here is an interactive map of townlands on the General Registry Office of Northern Ireland.  You will probably have to register, but it is free.
https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk/TownlandMaps
All the townlands mentioned in our posts are on this map.
