Well how odd, it looks like the Edward Pammenter born in Linton is still in Linton in 1851, but there is also a James Day in the household. :D

There's a William Pamenter b abt 1751 in Linton on the 1841 census. I think this may be the one who married Ann in Linton.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge

They can be ruled out then.

Sadly yes, thank for help. I think the marriage will be closer to Hatfield BO or Great Canfield in the 1780s.

Wow. How did you find it so quickly, I'm taking ages to make out just one page on SEAX.

That definitely looks like the right one.

And about 12 years till the baptism of Nathaniel, so likely a few more children still to be found - possibly the Charles who was a witness at Martha's marriage

I've found the marriage now, the missing witness looks like John Smith and William Pamant could sign his name, so we know how he spelt it.
