Have you thought that he may have stopped in Australia or somewhere else?

Hi pampoen
His sailing from Liverpool to Durban in 1954 aboard the "Clan Robertson" is the most recent voyage I have been able to find for Frederick. That's why I think he ended his life in South Africa.  However I am not conversant with all the available sources of travel/migration information.
Regards
