Denis S Green
« on: Tuesday 23 February 16 23:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi all
my great great grandparents were Philip Green and Catherine Harrington from Cahergarriff in Cork,my great grandmother Honora was born in 1850.

I came across this death today and wondered could anybody find anything about him as he may be a possible sibling of Honora.

Any help as always greatly appreciated

Unless there's another miner named Dennis S. Green in the area, this may be a report of his death - http://www.mfhn.com/houghton/rosscoll/news/mg1883_1.txt  The date given was in November 1883 rather than 1884, but maybe there was a mistranscription somewhere.

On the register that lists Dennis' death, he seems to be listed as Daniel - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N3V3-5LC  If you look on the 2nd page of the image, the date of the record was from 1885.  The exact date of the death was not listed.  I'm suspecting that he really died in 1883 as listed in the newspaper and things got confused when being transferred to this register.
