COLEBATCH, George   baptised 5 September 1785 Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire
and his wife

CARTWIGHT, Mary   they were married 8 June 1803 Bitterly Shropshire

I have most of their children but no parents for Mary or any Deaths for either of them.

In the Bitterley registers there are a family of Cartwrights ( Edward and Isabella) baptising children from 1784 onwards. No marriage there for this couple.

There is a marriage in 1780 in HOPESAY ( 14 miles from Bitterley) of an Edward Cartwright and Isabella Rogers. A year later there is a baptism of a Mary Cartwright dau of Edward and Isabella   9 June 1781 in Wistanstow ( a mile from Hopesay).

I can't see any more children in Wistanstow to this couple, so they could be a possible.

Hi

There is a burial in Bitterley for Edward Cartwright a farmer aged 42, (DOB c1759) on
5 July 1801.

And a baptism in HOPESAY

Edward Cartwright bapt. 17 October 1759 son of James and Abigail

Thanks for this....  Just re reading the info I have it looks like Mary Colebatch nee Cartwright married a John Powell   I am guessing it would have been in Shropshire although the family does seem so suddenly be in Herefordshire as well...

I have the marriage of John Powell and Mary Colebatch (nee Cartwright) 21 November 1816 Little Hereford, Hereford so I am guessing George Colebatch would have died between 1813 when their last child is baptised in little Hereford (Mary Ann who is a twin can't find the name of the twin though) and 1816 when Mary Carwright re marries....

From George Colebatch's last Will, I have a witness of Catherine Cartwright so now I am wondering if she is possibly a sister of Mary's ...... and found a Catherine Cartwright baptised 10th February 1793 bitterley Shropshire....  parents Edward and Isabella
