Hi all

New to all this but looking to trace my grandparents who lived in Sligo may may have been married in the 1920s give or take a few years

You need to get your parents marriage record first, that will give both of their parents names, come back then, ok

sorry misread my parents where married in England and the marriage certificate does not show their parents names

Well you really need to gives names/dates, what is known, religion etc PLUS what has already been checked such as Census etc to avoid others looking up stuff you already have, or have looked at.

that is the problem all I know is that Bridget Gilligan died around 1977

I dont think so I met her once in Sligo and I am fairly sure she died there
