Hi can anyone please tell me where there is a newspaper archive for Newport and surrounding County from 1940 -1980 to research b.m.d and obituaries.

Newport Library have a good selection of archived newspapers; if you are travelling from a distance then you would need to book a viewing machine.
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.
