Jane Curry born c 1820 Slaley Northumberland and father Oliver Curry

I am trying to trace a connection between two families - specifically between my GG Grandmother Mary Ann Goodwin nee Gleeson, and the family of Albert Edward Reed in Canada.
He wrote a letter in 1948 to the Ministry of Defense in New Zealand looking for his 2nd cousin Lionel Goodwin ( Mary Anns son) who had visited his family in 1919 after the war.
He was specifically looking for a branch of the family who emigrated to Australia. I have no idea if he got hold of Lionel however I found his letter in Lionels military records.
Lionel's mother Mary Ann Gleeson has been a huge brick wall for me so I pounced on this info that Reed was a 2nd cousin in the attempt to break that wall

I have traced Alberts family back (and  incidentally found the aunt who moved to Australia)
Alberts paternal  Grandmother was Jane Reed nee Curry - born Slaley Northumberland c 1820 . According to her marriage record her father was Oliver Curry.
I can find no other trace of Oliver Curry. It is likely Oliver Curry is the common ancestor - so I wonder if  one of his daughters may have been Mary Ann Gleesons close relative.

Can I clarify a few points please?

What is the name of the Aunt who moved to Australia? Do you know when she emigrated?

I take it you have the Curry/Reed marriage certificate?
Jane Curry married "Who" Reed?
What date and where did they marry?
Is her age at marriage how you estimated her year of birth as c1820? How do you know she was born in Slaley?
Presumably she names her father as Oliver Curry? What is his occupation?

That marriage looks likely.
 
I could not find an Oliver Curry in the 1841 census.

Added: Just had a quick look and can't see a William and Jane Reed in 1841 either. Will look again ...

Have you found Oliver anywhere? Reasonably unusual forename so unless he's dead, he should be there somewhere.

  Well either this is an incorrect Jane Curry who marries a Reed, b c 1820 Slaley, Northumberland or Oliver is an error somewhere along the line, as her father looks to be the Robert living with William/Jane and family in 1851 and 1861:-

date of marriage 10th Nov 1839 . I dont have cert as Ive only discovered it today. I suspect the Robert living with Jane and William between 1851 and 61 is perhaps an uncle rather than her father .

Rather odd then, that a Robert Curry had a daughter Jane baptised in December 1819 Slaley as well?
Also cannot locate a marriage of any Oliver Curry marrying in Northumberland or Durham +/- 25 years of the birth date of Jane, and no baptisms with him as a father?

EDIT also rather odd one of the children of William/Jane was a Robert and no Oliver, and no deaths in Durham 1839 to 1861 of any Oliver Reed's?
