William Andrew MOORE, born 1870-80s

Hi All,

I'm having trouble finding a birth record of a William Andrew MOORE.
He married Teresa Crawford MAGUIRE on 09 Aug 1904 in Belfast (full age at that time).
He died 20 Feb 1958, Belfast, said to be 76yo on his birth certificate, but 70yo on his burial record.
Some unconfirmed info from family puts his birth in 1873, so there is a wide possible range for his year of birth.

He was probably born in / around Belfast, to parents Thomas MOORE & Eliza Jane CARSON (m. 1873). (Siblings born in Belfast or Co. Down).

I've tried searching on GRONI, with all sorts of name variants, without success.

Any tips / help would be much appreciated.

So according to that, WAM born in Belfast, around 1875.

It's possible that his birth was registered with only one Christian name, something besides William or Andrew or even without a name being chosen.

I have tried various first and last name combinations, as well as looking at some birth listings with the first name "not captured" ...

No luck so far.

His occupation is Engineer on his marriage certificate (1904), and later on Marine Engineer and then Electrical Engineer.

Would anyone know of any training or occupation records in Engineering that may provide some more details?
