Hi Please can any one tell me is there a place called Sheppey in Tynemouth

I found it on the brebner.com, it is all about the Bremner family, James Bremner from Caithness who is my 3rd Uncle married a  June Sadler in Tynemouth in 1872
she was born  in 1847. the info was that her son James Robert Sadler Bremner was born in Sheppey, I had a look the only Sheppey I found is island of Sheppey in Kent, and  I don't think that is right.   Thanks

Both Tynemouth and Sheppey have maritime links.

So certainly posssible.

I did an update!!

Sheppey was the site of a Royal Navy Dockyard until 1960.
So, I'd take a guess that James was connected to the RN.

  I had a look on Ancestry and I have found,it he was indeed born  Kent
