Tangential posts
« on: Friday 04 March 16 13:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,
Often (and I'm sure I've done this in the past  ;)) there will be a post about say the Wilsons of Aberfeldy perhaps it's been going for years and is full of relevant information. Then someone comes along and posts about a John Wilson from Ferryden in the Wilsons of Aberfeldy post. Do you - Ask for the topic to be moved? Answer the question? Ask why they have posted in the Aberfeldy post?
Thanks
Jen

I would ask the Mods if they could split it from my post  :)

If I think it's completely unrelated, I would ask the mod's to consider splitting the post.

I think Rosie if it was my post I would ask the Mods to move it as I'd know the background to my post but what if it's someone else's post would you just leave it be?

KGarrad, 'completely unrelated' gosh not sure how I'd know that so I'd probably stay stume  :-X....

I have in the past asked them if they could split it when it was not mine and not related to the original post.  You can always say when asking 'Would it be better if this post is split from the original' then the mods can decide
