SGF,
Found Andrew Fletcher born in Hawnby 7 May 1749 that would make him around 28 when he married in Whitby. His father is Benjamin Fletcher born around 1723 Hawnby wife Elizabeth Scott born around 1727. Other Children  John (1753), Benjamin (1751 - 1756), Alice (1756) and Mary (1759). Possibly had George 1765 when/if they moved to Whitby (25 Miles from Hawnby). Not sure about the other George buried 1769?

Regarding Elizabeth Fletcher's will, Widow of Boghall, Whitby. I received this today. Made out in March 1791. Executors of the will is Elizabeth's Sister, a Mary Readman (Widow) and a Thomas Reah both in the parish of Egton. Any money left to go to Elizabeth's sons George and Benjamin Fletcher. Any further help anyone can give would be of great help, thank you all in advance. Apparently Mary Readman and Thomas Reah married in Egton.

George Fletcher, blacksmith, and Hannah Dale married on 1st January 1791 Lythe, after Banns. Both of this Parish.
Witnesses: Richard Dale and Joseph Park
Still trying to figure out if this Benjamin is Georges Father, i have been searching for a couple of weeks now and still cannot really confirm if this Benjamin Fletcher (below) is his father or not.
26th June 1748
Hawnby North Yorkshire
Benjamin Fletcher of Hawnby
Elizabeth Scott of Pickering married after Banns

Children with father Benjamin, baptised Hawnby
Andrew baptised 7th May 1749
John baptised 16th December 1753
Alice baptised 23rd May 1756, of Bilsdale
Mary baptised 15th April 1759, of Bilsdale

If anyone can help with this then i would be most greatful
Regards

Getting confused regarding Benjamin Fletcher. This is what I can confirm so far.
Benjamin Fletcher born about 1713, no idea where born
Death is confirmed in Whitby and burial was 26 May 1780 aged 67
Married an Elizabeth no idea when or where from
Had two sons, confirmed as George Fletcher born 21 Mar 1764 - Died 20 Mar 1769. Second Son also named George Fletcher born 9 May 1769 = Died 1845, both in Whitby.

The Benjamin Fletcher in Hawnby was born 1723 a 10 yr difference.
Any help would be gratefully received thank you
Kind Regards
Mike
