Ruth Parbery nee Bishop
« on: Saturday 05 March 16 15:07 GMT (UK) »

Hi folks
I posted this on London, Middlesex yesterday,  the family suggest she may have been born in Norfolk, although I have no proof.

Your help needed please...
This what I know......

I'm trying to find the birth of Ruth Bishop possibly circa 1786...

Marriage 28 Aug. 1820 • Middlesex, United Kingdom to Samuel Parbery / Parberry...

Burial 10 May 1839 aged 53 • St Mary, Paddington Green, England...

Abode Wells Street St James's Westminster.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Regards

Tomm

I wondered if Ruth may have been a widow when she married Samuel -but marriage clearly states her as a spinster

There are lots of births of Ruth Bishop c similar year in Wilts Lincs Hants to name a few counties -why do you think she was from Norfolk???

I did find this record which may/may not be of interest???
Marriage after Banns
St Marylebone
8 Jan 1789
Richard Bishop o.t.p
Elizabeth Parberry, widow o.t.p.
witnesses Hannah Bishop William Parsons

Hi Suz

I really appreciate your reply. you ask why I thought maybe she is from Norfolk, it's a shot in the dark
really I've heard it mentioned during past family conversations also I've seen some trees on A******y

They all have her born Norfolk but they all tend to copy one another, so that's the second reason.

Thank you for the marriage banns they are interesting, yes I have found many Ruth's all around wilts and other places  but cannot make any connections to her in the marriage and death information....

Thanks once again for looking.

Kind regards

Tomm

maybe someone along the line has given Norfolk as her birth place as (maybe) Samuel's 1st wife was b Norfolk???

Hi Suz

Thanks for you time and interest, I've been thinking about what you mentioned, re; Ruth being a widow or maybe already married before Samuel Parbery came on the scene, it's got to be worth a check don't you think !!!

the problem with that line of thought is that on the marriage record it clearly states she is a spinster on her marriage to Samuel

Just thought for those days she getting on a bit for it to be her 1st marriage
