Sorry, mind slip  :'(

Had been checking Rachel's surviving siblings in the hope she was with them in 1861 as I didn't know about her marriage to James Lanham until Yokel's post, for which many thanks.

No marriage for Rachel Lanham on FindMyPast. Will check FreeReg.

Looks like Rachel and James were at the Ship in Norwich

Thanks for that Yokel, do you think that means Rachel ran the Ship until 1853?

That's what it looks like, my transcript of the 1851 census shows her living in King Street Norwich (same address as pub) but gives her daughter as Emily Hurry.

Found Emily's marriage to Daniel Hurn :-\

There was a Rachel Lanham death on FreeBMD June 1859 reg district Pancras.
Rachael's son Taylor was in West Ham, not to far away, in 1861.

Might be worth checking.

Hi Yokel, I looked at the 1859 burial record on DeceasedonLine for Rachel Lanham and she is buried with one other, Maria Jones.

As there are just the two of them, I presume they are related but I cannot find a Maria in the family I am interested in.

Am going to check the 1861 census for her children to check whether or not she is with any of them.
