Per the 1891 census - his mother was Esther.  Father Philip was b Ireland and Esther was born England

Strange

1891 shows Eliza and Etty as daughters.  Not with Philip & Esther in 1881 but there is this 1881 entry in which the girls are at Maryhill Barracks (as are Philip & Esther) but they have been incorrectly transcribed as the daughters of a Frederick & Louisa Fancy.  Different page and line number
