HORANS OF KINGS COUNTY
« on: Tuesday 08 March 16 12:56 GMT (UK) »
Looking for any information on the Horan/Horran family. particularly Mary Horan who according to her son's birth certificate in 1855 was born in Rahan, Kings County c.1827, and married Patrick Long or Laing 1845 in Londonderry, her father was Michael Horan and her mother's first name was Ann.  They moved to Scotland around 1845 and I found the family on the 1851 census for Carnock in Fife.
                   Blair Row, Carnock
Michael Horran 49, brickmaker born Ireland, his wife Ann 54 born Ireland
daughter Ann 20, dressmaker born Ireland,
Patrick Laing son-in-law 28 iron miner, wife Mary (Horran) 27 dressmaker born Ireland
their children Anna 5 born Cockburn, Berwick-shire
and Catherine 9 months born Clackmannon.
Patrick and Mary went on to have several other children all born in Fife.

Any help would be really appreciated
