Please can anybody help with this one? ... I need information on James McKeone b.1880. Father John McKeone 1821, mother Bridget McGowan b.1845
1881 Census - At Commercial St. Middlesbrough, James McKeone is about 6 months old, living with Father John b 1821. & Mother Bridget b.1845, siblings Elizabeth 14, Mary 12, John 10, Michael 8, Bernard 6, Annie 3
1891 Census - At 6 Nelson Pl. Linthorpe Middlesbrough, Thomas & Elizabeth ROBINSON are living with daughter Annie McKeone 13, son James McKeone 11, son Patrick McKeone 8, daughter Lena Robinson 2. The McKeone kids are clearly shown as the sons and daughters of the Robinsons on the original census document.
1897-1900 James McKeone served in Yorkshire Royal Artillery. His army record on discharge in 1900 shows a notation scrawled on the back of one of the pages which states; NOK sister Eliza McCabe ("McKeone" had been written then crossed out) and mother Elizabeth Robinson. Eliza McCabe was definitely James' older sister Elizabeth McKeone b.1867 who was married to Eugene McCabe.
1911 Census - At 22 Suffield St. Middlesbrough. James was living with wife Catherine (Jones), Daughters Agnes 6, Freasia 5, Catherine 6 mths, Son James 2, Sister in law Agnes Jones 12, Niece Elizabeth McCabe 24 (his sister Elizabeth's daughter) and wait for it ......... his MOTHER Bridget 63, widow. His mother on his birth record and from the 1881 census.
I can't work it out. Was John McKeone b.1821 with Elizabeth Robinson at some stage? Could they have had Patrick together? Then did Elizabeth take Bridget's kids Annie and James with her and go off and marry Thomas Robinson? Hope this makes sense. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Phil
