Ann/Anna WRIGHT marriages in Leominster
« on: Wednesday 09 March 16 16:42 GMT (UK) »
Ann/Anna Wright born 1788 Ringland, Norfolk married first William Sheen at Leominster on 2 Feb 1828. After William died as Anna Sheen she next married Joseph Wells at Leominster on 24 Jun 1834, he dies Sept qtr 1837.... Lastly as Anna Wells she marries David Lewis at St.Phillips, Birmingham on 12 Oct 1842. David Lewis dies before 1871 census & Anna dies 22 Apr 1873 age 84 in Leominster.

1841, 1851, 1861 & 1871 censuses she is living in Etnam Street, Leominster.

Firstly I'd like names of witnesses at the 1828 & 1834 marriages.
Secondly I'd like death/burial dates for William Sheen & Joseph Wells & David Lewis & then Anna Lewis

Thanks for looking
John

In the will of Anna Lewis dated Nov 1870 (she died 22 Apr 1873) she requests that 'my body be buried in the graveyard of the Baptist Chapel at Leominster" ...... where I suspect her late husband Rev. David Lewis, Baptist Minister of Leominster is also buried. He died Dec qtr 1859.

Does anyone with local knowledge know if there is a burial register of the Baptist Chapel

From the will of Joseph Wells who died 13th Sept 1837 aged 70 (he's Anna Wright's 2nd husband).....
he requests that "my body be decently interred in the Burial Ground belonging to the Baptist Chapel in Etnam Street, Leominster in the same grave with my first wife Mary".

Joseph Wells married Mary Jones at Leominster on 3rd March 1798
