Anson/Hanson research Munlow in Shropshire
« on: Wednesday 09 March 16 17:13 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if someone could help me. I have been researching the Anson/Hanson branch of my tree for a few years now but have hit a wall. I have found the marriage of Thomas Anson to Elizabeth Green c.1784 but have been unable to go further back, there is a possible birth in 1765 to a John and Mary but I am not sure if I have the right people, any help in confirming this or even going back earlier would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, very sorry ! ! I think I got distracted, the place is Munlow in Shropshire and the information I have is that Thomas Hanson b.1845 married Mary Harrison, Thomas 2 b. 1796 married Rachel Humphreys and Thomas 3 b. 17?? married Elizabeth Green.  At this point my information dries up apart from a possible Thomas 3 b. 1765 to a John and Mary.  Hope this is of use, once again many thanks.

A witness to Thomas' marriage in 1784 to Elizabeth Green is William Hanson

FindMyPast has the baptismal images of
Thomas, bap 21 April 1751 at Much Wenlock, parents John and Elizabeth Hanson
William, bap 19 Feb 1748 at Much Wenlock, parents John and Elizabeth Hanson

There's also a William , bap 21 Aug 1868 at Harley, parents Wm and Ann Hanson

A Thomas Hanson was buried 13 Aug 1794 at Munslow - unfortunately, but typical of the period, the age at death was not recorded.

Thanks for all of the help, it helps to go back abit further, one would assume that living in a smallish place that they are related.  Any suggestions on how it would be possible to trace any of the Hansons further back in time ? Thanks again.
