Hello Monica,

SP has
Janet Liston Miller b27/03/1803, married Peter Gray 1828.
Mary Miller b13/04/1805, married Peter Thomson 1827, died Edinburgh 1865 age 60
William Miller b27/11/1807, died Ecclesmachan 5/04/1811.
John Miller b22/04/1810
William Miller b31/05/1812, married Janet Wilson, died Linlithgow Bridge 1896 age 91
Thomas Young Millar b21/08/1815

It is Janet's son John who is with John and Ann on 1841 census.
You'll notice that the second William died 1896, however his age is given as 91 years. This gives D of B as 1805, not 1812. His son, John, was the informant so perhaps unsure of age.
I found a Thomas on census records as being born Ecclesmachan 1815 and living at Ecclesmachan. This Thomas then moved to Cramond and died there in 1892, age 76. His father is John Miller, Schoolmaster, mother is Jane Murray. His son, John, was the informant. Again, unsure if the son made an error with maternal name. Will need to look at this more closely.
Had a quick look at the gravestone, will make life easier on my visit as I now know the shape of the stone, However, noticed that 1821 is written at the top of the gravestone. Another query I'll need to think about.

Thanks again for your help. Can't believe I have wandered that cemetery without the lightbulb coming on!
