Alice WALKER nee ROONEY

I am looking for information regarding Alice WALKER nee ROONEY who was born c1882 in Lancashire. She married a Henry or Andrew WALKER and she passed away in 1945. Possible children were Lillian, James and Michael. Her son John was born 1920 or 1921. Any information would be very much appreciated.

Have you checked freebmd for Walker birth with mmn Rooney?

The above info appears to relate to James

You can use www.lancashirebmd.org.uk to look for Walker births with mmn Rooney and will find as follows:

Catherine 1900 is the Kate shown in 1901  Elizabeth 1902  Francis 1905 Henry 1908 (possible death 1910)

Then another Henry & twin Michael in 1915

Have you looked them up on the 1911 census to get details of children at that time?

The marriage is on Lancashire BMD but cannot be looked up as it was a civil marriage or in a catholic church

Hi everyone,
John himself wrote many times to St Catherines House even visiting there in person trying to obtain some kind of record of his birth.
His son has done a DNA test and I am in the process of helping the family upload the data to different websites.

I can understand trying to find information out about grandparents etc but imagine not being able to find your own birth info? It's heartbreaking
Sadly John passed away without finding the information he desperately wanted.

so her dad was Jacob ....should make it easier to find the family in 1891 census

ADVICE needed
looking at that record of the marriage - am I right in thinking that both Henry and Alice are FULL AGE ??
There is no mention of parents consent
if Alice was full age it means she is born at least 1879 or earlier ??
or do I have that wrong ?
