Missing great grandpappy 1901 - Census or Travel?!
« on: Sunday 13 March 16 12:53 GMT (UK) »
If there is anyone with some sharp eyes out there and some time on their hands, I'd be grateful for an extra pair of eyes, please.

Looking for James Miller Thurlby, born 1868 in Uffington, Lincolnshire, son of John Thurlby and Frances Bemrose.  I've got him in 71, 81, 91 and 1911.  I think it possible (but not sure) that in May 1900 he was in Argentina I cannot find when he went out there or came back (he was def back by 1904 because he got married here).

Can anyone else help, please?

Sorry, Mods if this is the wrong place - its kind of one foot in the CRs and one foot in travel!!!

Hi
Cannot find any travel record on Ancestry or FindMyPast - But 2 things... 1) there is a record for him on the 1939 register in ketton r.d. rutland England (if he married a Jessie - or that was one of his children) and maybe more helpful 2) there is a private member tree on Ancestry that has details of his death notice and his obituary (for James Miller Thurlby 1868 to 1962). If you are a subscriber to Ancestry you would be able to email the tree holder as the obit might give you the answers you need!
