News of Thomas David IAGO
« on: Sunday 13 March 16 17:44 GMT (UK) »
I would be grateful for any information or news of Thomas David Iago  born in  1883 ( +/- 1 or 2 years)  in Montgomreyshire but residing somewhere in Shropshire during the period 1939 to the late 1950's. I'm trying to pinpoint his occupation and where exactly he was.
Thanks in advance.

You could try the 1939 register - Sorry we are not allowed to do look ups on this.

What else can you tell us about him.  When / where did he die

He was in Ellesmere, Shropshire and was a farm carter, widower.  How do you know he was born in Montgomeryshire?.

Thanks Mike,
I was about to say that I found him on the 1939 Register ( in reply to Rosie99)  in Ellesmere but I have no idea where he was for the next 20 years and I would dearly like to know. Any other tips friends?

Is his surname actually Jago, and have you got a death and census entries for him?

Apologies for my absence - this person   was a relative. His real name was Thomas David James and one day in the late 1930's he left his family - ostensibly to go to market -  and disappeared.

Some 20 years later he reappeared searching for his children, his daughter took him in and looked after him until his death in 1967.
We, the younger generation never found out where he had been apart from the fact that - he told me- that he called himself Iago.
There is no one alive  now who can give me any information but I wish I knew where he was and what he did during that time.
