Thomas Stirling and Margaret Macfarlane

Thomas Pender Stilring was born on 2 September 1881 at Dura Farm, Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, Scotland and he died on 16 May 1961 in Huntly, New Zealand. Margaret Royal Macfarlane was born at sea on 17 March 1885 and died in Morrinsville, Waikato, New Zealand on 20 June 1973.

Thomas and Margaret were married on 31 March 1905 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland and had at least three children
James, born 5 December 1905 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire
Hugh Macfarlane, born 25 January 1908 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire and died 1975 in New Zealand
Elizabeth McGregor, born 19 February 1910 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

All five were living in Hamilton on the day of the 1911 census.

Obviously they emigrated to New Zealand at some point. Can anyone point me at anything that might tell me exactly when they left the UK/arrived in NZ?

There are said to have been two more children, but I have failed to find them in the Scotland, England/Wales or New Zealand births. Nor have I found deaths in New Zealand for James or Elizabeth, or marriages for any of the three known children.

The family came to NZ in 1924 according to a passenger list on FindMyPast

Hugh     "   labourer aged 16
Eliza     "    scholar  aged 14
Thomas  "  scholar  aged 9
Alex    "      scholar aged 5
The address given in Scotland was 31 School Lane,High Blantyre,Scotland

They left the UK on the 7th Nov.1924 aboard the Pakeha
