Hi Rainne,

Can you give us the names of the sons please & tell us what it says on the certs. regarding parents?

How old (yr born) was daughter Annie Henrietta on her marriage, what yr married, where married, were her parents alive or deceased & who were the witnesses?

What was the occupation of Alexander Walker on each document?

I think you will need to track Alexander down through census records to establish a death as the death cert. may give his parentage?

I'm not sure why you have posted this on a Scottish board when the information you seem to be wanting relates to his time in New York!   It was only when I saw the 'nyc' as place of first marriage that I twigged we should be in the US.

There is a tree on ancestry that states the children of the first marriage were:

James A Walker born 20 Dec (?) 1879 who died 22 Sep 1881
Annie Henrietta Walker born 17 Aug 1882
Alexander Cameron Walker born 23 Oct 1884

From second marriage:

James F. Walker born 30 Mar 1892
William F. Walker born 31 Mar 1894

According to earlier census/baptism records Alexander Walker was born 25/6/1852, bap. 15/8/1852 Rafford, Moray (Rafford some 2 1/2 miles from Forres).   Family lived in Rafford - his parents being James Walker (d.1859) and Helen Smith who married 3 Jan.1845 Rafford.

On 1861 census Alexander is living in Rafford with an aunt/uncle James and Elspeth Hutchison, his widowed mother also in Rafford with his siblings:

Helen Walker    44      born Rafford
Isabella Walker  15       ditto
James Walker 11          ditto
John Walker 5              ditto
George Walker 3           ditto
