Hi I'm researching a for a family member ,who had an aunt and uncle who they say worked at the Sutherland estate ,it seems an old aunty was given a ring for her services, by lady Millicent Hawes who was the daughter of the estate owners this would have been around 1925-1940 approx ,.would love to get to the bottom of this mystery we still have the ring ,my question is do you think there could be employment records and possible photos somewhere that I can access  thanks eda

According to Wikipedia (and other sources) Millicent was the wife of the 4th Duke of Sutherland but there was a daughter with Millicent in her names. Daughter was married when she died in 1930s so perhaps it is the Duchess the ring came from?
