Help identifying place name in Cromartyshire

Could it be Udol?  There are some Andersons from there, including a few ministers.

This has a reference to an "Alexander Anderson of Udale" in 1788 which would probably fit the date of the pic

Barb,  check the "Fasti" of the Church of Scotland for details of its ministers.

I wanted to say thank you for all the replies re my enquiry as to place name on old photo.
It has turned out to be UDALE/UDOLL various spellings in Cromarty with a lot of information arising from the revelation including a much looked for link to the family line.
ROOTSCHAT is a great boon  to people doing research, especially research far from home
