Caroline Rule: Cornwall to New Zealand 1878

Is there anything online that would lead me to know who  Caroline Rule stayed with with she arrived in New Zealand in 1878?

Possible relatives for Caroline RULE

There are at least four RULEs in Oamaru around that time
Arthur W RULE boarding House proprietor last recorded in Otago Nominal Index in 1875 and
Harry James RULE a compositor 1881 - 1890
Robert Lawrence RULE was in Oamaru 1874 - 1890
William RULE in Oamaru 1866 - 1880

Nearer to Cromwell there was a James E RULE listed at Moonlight near Queenstown in Wakatipu Electorate in 1890.   Moonlight might have been difficult to enroll from at earlier times - if the land or claim holding was appropriate for franchise

There was also a William RULE at Harrisville Mataura and a William David RULE at Waipori

In a later generation Daniel Alfred RULE 1918 - 1993 attended Otago Boys High School  1934-36 and went to Waipara North Canterbury
