I have found Herons Lane it is on a map of Dundee which my late father gave to me some years ago.
He was from Dundee originally.

It was in the Lochee area. A little lane off Kirk Street which is between South Road and Liff Road.
Kirk Street still exists if you google it but Herons Lane must have been demolished.

Hope this helps.

You can see Herons Lane on this map https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/337530/731459/13/101329 you will have to zoom out a couple of times, unless you have a subscription.

Dorrie, Heron's Lane might still be there. http://cartographic.info/uk_street/map.php?id=370228 - is this where you think it was?

Hi Monica,

Yes that's it. My error I didn't read Shelly's answer correctly.

Apologies
