certificate sizes

Do anyone know what size  the birth certificates are from Gwynedd registrar eg A4 or those long ones

It may be dependent upon the original date of the certificate in question.

As far as I can recall, the newer certificates  are read from top to bottom.  But 1864 era certs  are the side to side layout.

Maybe similar size but just on a different plain or angle.

My familytree binder is A4 size and the certificates i get off the GRO  all come in A4 size. I have sent away for a certificate before from the local registrar and it came A3 size

Most public libraries have photo copying machines which can enlarge or reduce in size.

I haven't got any A3 size but all the ones I've bought from the GRO or local offices are A4. I've been looking at getting a folder but have a few older original certificates which are the longer size which is a pain.

I know what you mean, got 3 off those long ones' 1 was a wrong certificate, i replace 1, got one more left to do.
Deirdre i notice you doing family search in cardiff and pontypridd i live between these 2 places
