Hi,

In the 1861 census the family (Thomas, Ellinor, Mary, Jane and Anne) are at Caellwyngryd and I would agree it looks very likely that in 1871 Jane is away as a servant in Betws Garmon.

By 1881 there is a family in Caellwyngryd which could be Jane's and a potential marriage between a Henry Jones and her in 1878. I wondered if Jane returned "home", settled and married there?

I know how difficult it is to be sure you have the correct Jones family in North Wales but perhaps this is worth exploring?

Henry (born c1854) and Jane are on later censuses (still at Llanllechid)and one of their children was named Mary.
