c.1766 birth for Abraham RINGE in Suffolk/Essex?
« on: Tuesday 29 March 16 14:59 BST (UK) »
I have a marriage record for this ancestor to Sarah SIMONS in Ipswich St Mary Stoke, but have been unable to find a plausible birth record for him there, so I am trying to find which parish he may have come from?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks very much for that suggestion,Suffolk*Sue, that could well be my man, as I know there is a cluster of Ringes in nearby Woodbridge.
I am wondering where the "Suffolk Baptism index" you refer to is kept; is it something in the Ipswich Record Office, as I don't seem to be finding it online? Similarly, I guess the Bredfield parish records are kept there?
Sorry if these are naive questions; I am a bit new here!

The index is available on Findmypast.com, pay per view

Copies of Bredfield parish records would be available on fiche at Ipswich and Bury St. Edmunds. Various parish records are available on cd but as to what there is, I am not sure.

Thanks, annes, for taking the trouble to look this up. Most helpful.
The Elizabeth you highlighted could well be the mother of my man, as her baptism makes her aged about 30 when he was born.
Sad that Mary doesn't last long after the birth of her last child.
I surmise that the death record for an Elizabeth will be another generation back (possibly the g.grandmother of my man?
I really appreciate everyone's help.
