Here I found Eugen Wolff, married 1901 in England, hairdresser and tobacconist

This is a death notice from Eugen Wolf, hairdresser and tabacconist (middle of the right site)

Thank you,

I'm now more certain that Eugen was Richards brother. As I said in my original post, I've seen a picture of him and the resemblance to my grandfather and brother is strong. But, that link on family search says Eugen was 34 in 1901. Richard was 20 in that year, so that would make a 14 year age gap between them. I guess it's not totally unreasonable for them to be brothers with that age gap.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I think Eugen died in a POW camp in Brandenburg an der Havel. I'm not sure if this was a British or German POW camp though. I'm also pretty sure he was born in the village of Wilhelmsdorf, Brandenburg. The information I have matched the dates in that death notice.

Wolff, Adams

This is the link for the polish archive with parish registers online. You can change from polish to english or german. But the year about 1881 is not online. Perhaps I will find something in old newspapers about your Wolffs.

I'm thinking that I might need to visit the Archives in Wroclaw sometime. I have a Polish friend who lives near there who can help me language wise.
