You'll need to give us some idea of dates.
If you father is living you'll have to remove his name as RootsChat doesn't allow naming living or possible living people but if you can tell us when he was born and if you can when his oldest sibling was born.

If you are talking about someone born as recently as the 1940s, a website online has a potential candidate (and a sibling), but as Sinann said, you cannot mention the names of the living or potentially living in this public topic, so if they are, you need to remove the name.  If you make another post here, we can exchange personal (ie. private) messages.

I might be at the Church of Ireland Cemetery in Granard tomorrow.

Will see if they are there!

Looks like you may have the birth year incorrect.
Edward Kelly mother Flynn registered Granard April to June 1943, so quite likely born in March.

There is also a likely sister 1940.

Marriage 1939 same page and vol numbers so likely match.

Mary Ellen

You can use the information from these index records to order their marriage cert, which will give you their fathers names and occupations, this will hopefully help you get back further.
See here for ordering certs
