Where did Michael Hynes come from? I have found some information which may help further.

Was this the second marriage for Michael Hynes?

Michael Hynes married Margaret Boyne 3q 1853 Leeds 9b 537; she was born ca 1929 in Newry Ireland.

From RG11; Piece: 4486; Folio: 63; Page: 4; I see that Margaret Hynes was a widow in 1881
Her daughter Amelia Hynes born 1863 is entered in this census as well.

I have also found a death for a Michael Hynes 3q 1875 Hunslet 9b 206, age 75 years.

I would like to know if this person was the husband of Margaret Hynes?

Any help in solving this mystery would be welcome.

The Michael Hynes buried 3 Sep 1875 at Hunslet was a labourer of Greenwood Street, Hunslet.

Looking at the census there was a Michael Hynes & wife Mary living at Greenwood Street in 1871, so it doesn't look like this is your man.  Mary Hynes widow of Michael was buried at the same cemetery in 1878.

Did Amelia marry Jim Palmer 1881, Leeds? If so her father is recorded as Edward Hynes, Smith.

The above family cannot be connected to the Michael Hynes/Margaret Boyne 1853 marriage that you are researching.

Then it would appear that Amelia's parents were Margaret and Edward. Therefore you need to find a marriage c.1848/9 (before the birth of their daughter Ann c.1849, providing she was their first born)
